Account & Registration

How do I create an account?

To create an account, click on the "Get Started" button on our homepage. You'll need to provide your name, email address, phone number, and create a password.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. Enter your registered email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. For security reasons, the link will expire after 24 hours.

How do I update my personal information?

After logging in, go to your Account Settings where you can update your personal information, delivery addresses, and payment methods. Under South Africa's POPIA law, you have the right to access and correct your personal information at any time.

Ordering & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), Instant Eats wallet, cash on delivery, and popular mobile payment options like Yoco. All payment processing is secure and compliant with South African financial regulations.

How can I apply a promo code?

During checkout, you'll see a field to enter a promo code. Enter your code and click "Apply" to see the discount reflected in your order total. If you're having trouble with a promo code, please contact our support team.

Can I modify my order after placing it?

unfortunately, once an order is placed, it cannot be modified as it is immediately sent to the restaurant for preparation. If you need to make changes, please contact our support team as soon as possible. They will do their best to assist you, but we cannot guarantee changes can be made after order confirmation.

What are your delivery areas?

We currently deliver in Thhoyandou and Makhado. We're continuously expanding our coverage, so please check our website

How can I track my order?

Once your order is confirmed and dispatched, you can track its status in real-time through your account. You'll see updates when the restaurant accepts your order, when it's being prepared, when our driver picks it up, and the estimated delivery time.

What is your average delivery time?

Delivery times vary based on restaurant preparation time, distance, and traffic conditions. Typically, orders are delivered within 30-45 minutes in urban areas. During peak hours or bad weather, delivery might take longer. You'll always see an estimated delivery time before confirming your order.

Privacy & Security

How does Instant Eats protect my personal information?

We take data security seriously and comply with South Africa's POPIA regulations. Your data is stored securely in Firebase with encryption both in transit and at rest. We implement strict access controls and regularly audit our security practices. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Can I request deletion of my personal data?

Yes, under POPIA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. To do so, contact our privacy team at privacy@instanteats.co.za. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes as permitted by law.

How does Instant Eats handle data breaches?

We have robust security measures in place to prevent data breaches. In the unlikely event of a breach, we will follow POPIA requirements by notifying the Information Regulator and affected individuals as soon as reasonably possible. Our incident response plan includes containment, investigation, and remediation steps.
